The Gut Health Gift Guide

Know someone in your life who is working hard to heal their gut? (Maybe that someone is you?). Since it’s the most wonderful time of the year, and there are so many gifts to be given, I’ve created a new list in my amazon shop with some of my favorite gut-friendly gifts across a variety of categories (including food, drinks, supplements, helpful home appliances, relaxation and self care). Here’s a little preview of some of the items (but check the list for more!). Plus, I’ve included some ideas other in this post for gift boxes and subscriptions that would make thoughtful gifts for the gut health-conscious friend in your life.

Candida-Friendly Foods & Drinks

Healing your gut doesn’t have to be boring, or bland! Try these delicious gut-friendly products (that you or your friend will love!)

Matcha Bar Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder – One of my favorite brands. Always make sure to get ceremonial grade so you get the most L-Theanine (the magic ingredient that gives you a boost of focused, non-jittery energy)

Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee – an awesome candida-friendly swap for your morning coffee. Made of immune-boosting mushrooms, this alternative drink grew on me fast (and I do NOT like mushrooms!).

Purely Elizabeth ancient grain granola (pumpkin cinnamon) – If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much and how long I’ve loved Purely Elizabeth. Great granola brand that uses only natural, low-sugar sweeteners. Her products are packed with superfoods that taste delicious!

Epic Artisanal Bone Broth – This brand of bone broth is DELICIOUS. I accidentally bought the turkey cranberry sage flavor once, and am now hooked. This is hands down my favorite thing to drink when sick, or just wanting to show my gut some love.

Gut-friendly Supplements:

Supplements can be so helpful in healing your gut. Some of my favorites include collagen, and a probiotic strain called saccharomyces boulardii. And don’t leave home without your digestive enzymes!

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides – Not only is collagen great for hair, skin and nails, but it is a major player in your gut health too. Add collagen peptides to your matcha, tea, coffee, or any other drink in the morning to help jump start your digestion and support the lining of your gut.

Jarrow Formulas Saccharomyces Boulardii – Probiotic strain known to combat candida. Contains no Lactobacillus, so many people pair this along with another probiotic that contains Lactobacillus, too.

Essential Enzymes – My secret weapon! You’re only as good as your digestive enzymes. And these ones are great. Take at the start of a meal to give your digestion a little boost of additional enzymes to help break down the food.

Candida & Gut Health Resources:

Free Candida Diet Check List – FREE resource for you to get started with a candida diet. Includes easy to read checklists of foods to avoid & enjoy, pantry staples to stock up on and more.

Holiday Gut Health Guide – quick, simple guide to healthy recipe and ingredient swaps for the holiday season, including my biggest holiday gut health tips and more!

The Candida Diet Survival Guide – Kick your new year into gear and heal your gut for good! Get everything you need to get started on a candida diet, all in one place. Gift Sets & Subscriptions:

Subscription boxes make for great gifts! Here are a few of my favorites, from organic produce and meat delivery, to simple healthy smoothies!

Organic Meat from Butcher Box – Eating organic meat is important when healing your gut. Get top quality organic meats from Butcher Box!

Thrive Market Membership – Thrive Market offers organic products you love, up to 50% off retail, shipped right to your door! (Get 25% off your first order with this link.)

Daily Harvest Smoothies – Get incredibly delicious, healthy smoothies delivered to your home. Store in the freezer, throw them into the blender with some nut milk or coconut water and you have a smoothie ready in minutes! (acai & cherry, cacao & avocado, ginger & greens, blueberry & hemp… mmmmm) Use this link for $25 off your first delivery!

Instacart – My new favorite service (fell in love with it during maternity leave!). Pick from TONS of stores, and shop their inventory virtually (with a real person shopping in your place), and get the food delivered to your home within a couple hours. Gamechanger.

MUTU System – for the new mom (or even the not-so-new mom) in your life, MUTU system is an amazing at-home workout program that focuses on strengthening the core and pelvic floor muscles. Did you know that a weak pelvic floor can lead to gut issues? Help that loved one (or heck, even yourself!) strengthen those muscles with a subscription to MUTU (maybe even throw in the kit bag if you really ’em), and they’ll be on their way to a stronger pelvic floor AND gut.

Relaxation & Self-Care:

One of the biggest triggers for candida overgrowth is stress. If you or someone you love is trying to heal their gut (or just live a gut-healthy life), here are some must-haves to help you unplug, relax, take time for yourself, and sleep.

Lavender Epsom Salt Bath – The magnesium in epsom salt helps to relieve tension. Use in a bath before bedtime for a more restful sleep!

Manduka PRO Yoga Mat – Love these thick cozy yoga mats from Manduka. Get yourself centered on the mat while doing simple stretches to move your body and support your gut.

Essential Oil Diffuser – Just add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and your diffuser will transport you. I love adding a few drops of lavender into my diffuser on my nightstand before bed.

Mavogel Cotton Eye Mask – Did you know that stimulating your vagus nerve for even a few seconds can help to bring on relaxation? One of the best way is placing very slight pressure over your closed eyelids. Also…I LOVE THIS MASK! Not only does it help stimulate the vagus nerve to help calm you down, but it forms around your nose to have a perfect hold on your face and is oh so soft.

Peepers Blue Light Glasses Getting a good night’s sleep is SO important for your gut health. I’ve been using blue light filtering glasses for a couple months now and not only do I feel fancy and smart in them, but I am able to fall asleep more easily at night because my brain feels less stimulated and alert if I’ve been wearing them while working on my laptop or watching tv after dark. These glasses help to actually regulate your circadian rhythm, which can get thrown off by blue-light electronics at night.

Beyond Yoga Women’s Spacedye High Waisted Leggings – These are hands down the best yoga pants out there. Don’t even try to tell me otherwise. I resisted them for a while because of the price. They are worth every single penny. Major buttery softness, nice high waist that holds you in, and no piling like so many other yoga pants I’ve had over the years. I’m all about Beyond yoga now and never turning back.

P.F. Candle Co. – This is by far my favorite candle shop. Natural products, yummy smells. Light one of these before you meditate or take a bath to be transported to a relaxed state. My favorites are Amber & Moss and Teakwood & Tobacco!

The Five Minute Daily Gratitude Journal Did you know that a gratitude practice can help your gut health? Yep! The simple act of focusing on the positives, and what you’re grateful for for just a few minutes a day can have a powerful effect on your outlook and can actually shift your overall health.
